1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is tough to understand but easy to explain. Through the Charles Darwin video, Richard tries to convince many students that evolution is reason for our structure of being not religion. Richard states, “Without evolution we would remain the same creatures we once were.” In The DNA of the Consciousness, nature’s process of elimination allows species to evolve with time in their environments. All living things are made of organisms and strand of the same DNA letters just in a different sequence. Charles Darwin was scratching this surface before his passing. With the technology of today many scientist can see and understand the reasons why evolution happened with time. Fossils give us scientist a taste of the past and how through time the different features of animals changed with many alerting changes. Lots of people do not want to believe in the process of evolution because how can humans come from animals, yet science shows those people that there is a relationship between the two species.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
The evolutionary theory to me cannot answer the where about of which human was first. As the bible describes an Adam and Eve, can evolution put a name or a face on the first people to walk on this planet? Also I don’t believe that scientist can predict how long the planet will last in the future. These questions are tough to answer because of the different times from past and future. I like how science has played a major role with evolution but what about religion. Many people follow a type of religion but like in the video of Charles Darwin states, “religion can change from place to place.” The power of being influenced will outweigh the facts of seeing is believing because of the faith many have towards their religion. All in all people will choose whatever they feel is right because in the end they will die alone either with facts or with faith.
