1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution helps humans have a better definition of how they were created and how everything came to be. In the Video “The Evolutionary Imperative: To Be or Not to Be” it is stated that in The Myth of Sisyphus the real question is “what is suicide” and what causes someone to question whether or not them living is viable or not. There are many questions that are not answered with the theory of knowledge but in the end, having some questions answered than none help humans have faith in the belief. when we get answers to questions that seem impossible to be answered by faith, things like the theory of knowledge help humans be reassured.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
When i first read this question, multiple questions came into mind that I thought couldn’t be answered by the evolutionary theory but as I read the provided book, and videos I gained a new perspective. In Darwin’s DNA it shows a very big difference between the theory and religion, it states that science is based off of answered question rather than belief. Whereas religion revolves around belief and does don’t concern much to the answers of the questions asked. With saying this some questions I feel cannot be answered by the evolutionary theory are, “why did God create only two genders?” “who created dinosaurs?” “Is there really a God?”
