1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The Theory of evolution is a means to discover how the human species has adapted over time. Many aspects in the way humans behave can be given a simple reason using the theory of evolution. The survival of our species relies heavily on whether or not we can adapt to survive climate changes, other predators, and many other environmental factors. Basically, the theory of evolution helps shine a light on the human origin story. Knowing the origin story can help explain why we behave the way we do in response to certain stimuli. Evolution is another tool to help better understand human beings as well as all other species.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
While evolution can explain how we got from A to B, it cannot explain how we arrived at A in the first place. The development of life is not reliant on evolution, survival is. Evolution cannot explain to us how we, as life forms, came to be. The other answer that I believe evolution cannot give to us is why? Why did life develop in the first place? And why are we here? The answers to these questions are likely to never be completely revealed to us. Maybe for some, the answer is what we make of it.
