1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is so important in understanding how human beings behave because it is part of how us human beings inherit some types of behaviors and attitudes from our parents. Every individual has their own way of behaving and these behaviors are inherited through our genes. The text "The DNA of Consciousness" explains very well how the process of DNA replication works and it gave the example how a person acts the way they do because of the genes that were inherited by that person from their parent's genes. I think that it is interesting to know how the theory of evolution says that us human beings were evolved by apes and that we have the same characteristics as them.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
I think that the questions that evolutionary theory cannot answer is the question, who was the first person that was created? I am a Catholic and I was taught that the first people who were created was Adam and Eve, but I would always wonder who was created first and how were they created? It's like when I would ask my parents about how the first man and woman were created, they would answer that God created them. But what I want to hear for an answer is how it was that God created them? I think that even evolutionary theory cannot answer these questions because it is a subject that is so hard to explain. Evolutionary theory would just explain how we evolved slowly over time but would not really answer how the first person was created.
