1. Do you think artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future?
I feel like in the future all there will be is artificial intelligence, as the new generations grow older their need to use artificial has slowly turned from a want to a need. If there is any questions in the mind of someone the first thing that they even think to do is ask Google. In the video ‘The Codex Funeral’ there was a quote by Nicholas Negroponte, “If it is not on the net, it does not exist.” This quote perfect portraits how the current generations think of books and how they impact their lives. Although technology is a wonderful creation, it tends to make us be more reliable on a thing which can disappear in seconds rather than other humans. I feel that in the future we will be so used to artificial intelligence that it will cause problems, what will people do, if God forbid, Wifi can’t be used anymore or worse if somehow electricity somehow just vanishes. The fact that humans are so attached to something that can be instantly taken away from them is a scary thought.
2. How has technology impacted your life?
Technology is a huge part in my life, from my cellphone to the alarm that wakes me up in the morning. I feel that technology has grown immensely since when i was a kid and would actually go outside to play a game and enjoy my childhood. Honestly as much as technology has been a positive aspect in the lives of millions of people, it is just as much of a negative. With technology kids now a days hardly go outside, and instead of going to a friends house they feel that ‘facetime’ is just as efficient. Technology obviously made my life easier as i grew up but i feel that with the adaptation of technology we have slowly become more and more lazy in our everyday lives.
