1. Why is Faqir Chand's experiences important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles?
In the film Inner Visions and Running Trains Faqir Chand thought all gurus were ignorant about the real cause of the miracles and visions attributed to them. This recollection came to him in the battle in Iraq in 1919. They were low on supplies and he had the fear of death like everyone else. IN that moment the holy form of Hazur appeared and told him not to worry the enemy was there to take their dead. Everything he said was true and non of his men died and in the morning they got their supplies. After the fighting ended he went back to Baghdad where people were worshiping him, he didnt understand but they told him during the battles he came to them in a vision and directed them to safety. He came to the conclusion “ whosoever remembers God in whatever form, in that very form he helps his devotee.” His experience helps us understand that religious visions and miracles come to everyone in different way, you may not understand why its that vision but if you have faith in God he will lead the way.
2. What is meant by the phrase, "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy."
In the history of philosophy film Dr. Evans said that its the study of natural science, mathematics, ethics morality, its very broad very general very fundamental. The phrase philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy. When done will the science can offer and explanation to the universe. Science can give you the evidence you need to prove a theory you might have.
