1. Why is Faqir Chand's experiences important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles?
1. Faqir Chand's experiences are important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles because he used this method of experiencing near death experiences which he was able to control. Faqir Chand was a wise man and he knew how to divide reality and illusions. His way of using these near death experiences in the book "The Unknowing Sage" describes how when one is almost experiencing death, that one is able to see a tunnel of light and one is not in their own body but outside floating around. Faqir Chand's experiences are important because it makes us realize one can visualize religious visions such as when one is dying and feels that God comes to make miracles to make the person that is suffering come back to life. His experiences are also important because once that person that was experiencing near death and comes back to life, then that person is left thinking if what had just happened was real or just an illusion that seemed to be true.
2. What is meant by the phrase, "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy."
2. What is meant by the phrase "philosophy done well is science" is that when one is trying to prove something then one must prove it with scientific studies, such as biology, chemistry, psychology, or physics to support the explanations regarding what is trying to be proven. Using these scientific studies will make our explanations to things that are being proved more credible because with the use of experiments, one will not have to think too much to understand what is being proven and just learn about it. The phrase "philosophy done poorly remains philosophy", simply means that without any scientific evidence or explanations to topics that are not proven, then one is left with unanswered questions and remains philosophy because it will still leave one wondering until they get an answer to their questions. These types of topics would be like how the universe was created and who was the first person on earth which are topics that are inexplicable.
