Week 3 Questions/Answers
Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
After being exposed to the required readings and films presented evolution may have a different view point within my mind although I do still believe in my God and the wonderful things that come along with him, evolution still conveys very appealing and convincing points that all seem to make sense. In one of the required films it was stated that with religion comes multiple Gods with every region you may venture to but there wis and always will be only one physics, also that with religion you will accept certain things over all and those things may be beyond physical testing. This to me probably hit home most of all because of the sense that it makes basically telling me that physics or any other branch of science that is being physically tested will be true always no way around it, but with the different beliefs and religions you get different versions. Questions that i do not believe can be answered are simply who and what is the creator, who is the Alpha and the Omega. Also evolution has no explanation for things of higher power such as a women contracting breast cancer multiple times but defying the odds(odds which is a scientific/math term) and beating it each and every time only to live a strong life with her beautiful family? using the pivot foot of our mind you may ask WHY? The why is our Lord and savour putting his hands upon that beautiful women and her family and giving them the strength and faith for that deathly disease to pass, in essence evolution cannot explain the miracle cases it can only give me an argument of magic tricks with cards which was very interesting but did not sway me.
Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
Looking at it from an evolution stand point, the theory of evolution is so important in understanding how human behave because evolution has all the answers for everything that happens in the animal kingdom or everyday life. It basically explains to us why this happens and since this happens then this will then happen, because of this reason and this strand of DNA says so. Evolution has its mighty terms of Natural Selection which states from the great Charles Darwin, It is the race for survival and the finish line is reproduction. We also have the term of the Arm races which is basically your species attempting to overcome an obstacle set in the way genetically, with ours as humans being virus most notoriously the HIV/Aids virus. I feel as if with evolution and really believing in it you want no mystery in your world which is no surprise as if you are a firm believer in science you want defiant and exact answers which i feel is the same outlook through the theory of evolution just with the great roller coaster of life. To me you cant ever dictate life and try to figure what is going to happen you can only control what you can control and unfortunately as humans that isn't too much although we are a dominant species. Maybe the saying "Today is history and tomorrow is a mystery" can resinate in the mind of someone who strongly accepts evolution.
