Why is understanding physics and the general rules of the universe so important in doing philosophy?
Objective Reality, which basically explains that if something isn’t being observed or measured that it doesn't exist. Philosophy is basically defined as ones own understanding and theory of how things work for them. SO it is important to understand physics and the general rules of the universe because those are set in stone facts. So in order to understand something like philosophy where a lot of ones opinion matters, one must first understand the fundamentals of how the world goes round.
What is eliminative materialism? Provide three examples of it.
Eliminative Materialism is the theory or claim that our common-sense of understanding different mental states of many things involving our minds are completely wrong and do not exist in the real world. Examples of this is the concept of belief, desire, soul, and intention. All these examples are bias by the subject and therefore only mean what it truly means to that specific individual.
