1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is incredibly important in understanding how human beings behave. It is so important because it shows us a possibility of how we became who we are today. Under evolution, we came from a different species of ourselves and evolved into the human beings that we are known for today. When you really think about it you can see that evolution is the root of everything we have in our lives. Where did we come from? Who are we? Why did we go from one species to another? Those are a few questions that evolution has helped us answer in order to see who we truly are today, something that religion fails to figure out still. Evolution helps us understand how we behave by showing us who we once were. We see who we once were and then realize the tendencies back then correlate to the ones we have now.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
There will always be questions that cannot ever be answered no matter how hard you try to answer them. A question that I have is, How did life originate? According to various religions life was created by God and he created everything within a small time frame and according to science it all started with a big bang that jump started life as we know it. I do not really understand how scientists can figure out how it all started if they were not there when it all happened. Another question that I think evolution cannot answer is, Why do we behave like we do? Evolutionists have been able to figure out how we became who we are but not why we are who we are. I would like for evolution to show us why we evolved and why we behave like we do. It has always interested me how we are today compared to how "we" were back then.
